A native of Vermont, Mr. Guarnaccia has lived and studied in Spain. He began his study of the classical guitar independently with Miguel Rubio, and with Maestro Regino Sainz-de-la-Maza at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid.
He received his Bachelor of Music degree from North Carolina School of the Arts, Winston-Salem, where he studied the classical guitar with Maestro Jesus Silva, under the auspices of visiting master Andres Segovia.
He also studied composition and classical guitar at California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, and received his Master of Fine Arts from that Institution. Mr. Guarnaccia has had much experience teaching on an individual and group basis in addition to his appearances as a recitalist.

Concert and recital appearances in Europe and throughout the United States. Director for ten years of nationally recognized graduate and undergraduate guitar program, University of Denver, Colorado.
Visiting artist residencies in Sedona, Arizona and Istanbul, & Turkey. Master Class teaching, guest invitations. Guitar Instructor, So. California Conservatory of Music, San Fernando, CA. Private teaching studio since 1967.
Conductor, Governor's concert series, CO.
Appearances with flamenco dancer, Maria Benitez.
Concert/master class production for visiting artists Christopher Parkening, Manuel Burrueco, Eliot Fisk, Alice Artzt, Phillip deFremery, and others.
