Conjunto Gua Gua is a Burlington, VT based latin jazz ensemble with a unique sound and original compositions.
Conjunto Gua Gua offers a multi-cultural feast,
ranging from cuban rumba and son to the calypso of Trinidad and the
bossa nova and samba of Brazil. Drawing on the fusion of these styles and
personal interpretations as an instrumental jazz combo is the magic of Gua
Gua.
Conjunto Gua Gua is Led by Geoffrey Kim and
Raphael Groten. Gua Gua creates a warm island feel even on the coldest nights
of Vermont. Bringing tight melodic
rhythms and harmonies together with the Puerto-Rican roots of John Thompson-Fiueroa and Twa T's homeland of Trinidad, Gua Gua combines jazz sensibilities
with raw talent in a journey that will take you from
Africa to Asia, to New York. Guaranteed to move your dancing feet and get
your soul listening.
Conjunto Gua Gua varies from a 5 to 8 piece
unsemble.
